REFLECTION 9: QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FINAL PROJECT

While working with the Bates Fund Leaderboard on my Final Project I have a few questions.

Where is the original record of this data? I asked this question because the data I used was from the bates website. I am curious as to what the raw data looks like. Is it organized or did it take long time to organize all of the data. I think the condition of the original data would give a lot of useful information in analyzing it.

Is there a reason why the goal donations were met in some of the years and in some it was not? I chose this question because I was curious as to what factors actually affected the meeting of the goal donations. To explore this further I can look at other data about those years and find a relationship between different dataframes and their entities. This will allow me to use matrices and databases. By using relational databases I can make my work more efficient. This will give me information such as what the conditions the donors had during those years that affected their donations. There could also be a global situation at the time which affected the donations.

How much Importance should I give to visualization? Visualization is an important part of making any data user friendly. It has been one of the goals of this class to make all of the labs and reflections user friendly. It was also one of the major readings for the course. So I would like to know how much importance I should give to visual representations in my final project. I asked this specific question because the actual and goal data require a lot of comparisons and it would be a great avenue for data analysis
